Happy hour food deal: Here's how to get $25 off your Jersey Mike's order on DoorDash

Here's a different kind of happy hour: Free food from DoorDash and Jersey Mike's.

Happening Wednesday and Thursday this week – June 7 and June 8 – DoorDash customers can get up to $25 off any Jersey Mike's order of at least $12 between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time.

Once you are on the DoorDash app, head to the Jersey Mike's storefront and place your order. Make sure it adds up to at least $12. Then enter the promo code JERSEY at checkout to get up to $25 off. (It's a one-time offer.)

That means, if your order is $20, for example, your order is free (not accounting for gratuity or fees like delivery/service fees). If your order is more than $25, you will get the full $25 discount on the cost of the order.

DoorDash and Jersey Mike's came up with the SUBperior Happy Hour promotion with the help of TikTok food critic Keith Lee, who has more than 12.9 million followers and had his Chipotle order hack added to the menu back in March.

A former Dasher himself, Lee told USA TODAY, "with this deal, we're just making sure everybody to secure the goods in time for family dinner and I think it is dope. … I just feel like with $25 off Jersey Mike's and get it delivered straight to your door, you can't beat that."

How did DoorDash and Jersey Mike's arrive at this happy hour deal?

DoorDash reached out to Lee, who's well-known for his taste tests and food deals.

"I only really work with companies that I want to work with ... that I genuinely enjoy," he said. "So when they reached out, it was not much thought that was put into it."

Jersey Mike's "was the first thing to come up," he said. "I personally like Jersey Mike's."His most recent order? The No. 9, a club supreme sandwich with roast beef, turkey, bacon, swiss cheese, mayo, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, oil, vinegar, oregano and salt.

"And I had it on rosemary parmesan bread," Lee said. "It was fire."
