Native of South Florida, moved to North Central Florida in 1970. Graduated University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications; worked for “Gainesville Independent” Newspaper before 35 plus years career in HVAC wholesale dates and management. Joined Ocala Star Banner in 2008 as freelance correspondent and for several years handled cover article for the paper’s “Drive” weekly automotive section , a weekly local road conditions column as well as multiple weekly freelance articles. Numerous articles over 15 years with focus on automotive, veterans , social issue including homelessness and racial issues and general breaking news including Police Beat. Have traveled or visited or previously camped and “explored” in most parts of the state including many areas off the beaten path. Live in east Marion County with wife, Sharon and attend Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church nearby.
