James Lester Staudt, Jr. of Ocala and Belleview Florida died on May 29, 2023, at the age of 58. He was born in Jacksonville FL. He also lived in Ocala and in Kentucky and Tennessee for a time. He served in the US Navy. He was a master framer and carpenter, as well as a handyman. He loved his family and deeply enjoyed spending time with them. He had many friends in the Ocala area, especially in the construction field. He was a down-to-earth "Florida boy" and a self-avowed redneck, with a love of country music. His mother and father nicknamed him Jimmy from a very young age, and he acquired the name "Jimbo", which followed him for the rest of his life, when his coach dubbed him that during his little league career. He was a first baseman, named Most Valuable Player on his team the first year he played. Jimmy is survived by his mother, Patsy Louise Oliver, of Belleview FL, his father, James Lester Staudt Sr., of Naples FL, his sister, Dana Jean Klibert, of Marco Island FL; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jimmy is pre-deceased by his wife, Peggy Staudt, who was the undying love of his life until her passing from cancer in 1999, and beyond. Funeral plans to be announced.
