Hannelore Greene known as “Lori” by friends and family was born in Machendorf, Germany on January 5, 1940.  She immigrated with her family to the United States in 1952. While living in Maryland, she worked as Chief Patient/Mortuary Affairs for the Air Force and the Army.  She medically retired military members from service and ensured they and their families received the full benefits they were entitled.  She retired after almost 30 years of service and moved to Dunnellon, FL and has been a resident since 1999. 

 

She was a sweet, caring, helpful, loving person and kind to all she met.  She was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will be dearly missed.

 

Lori was preceded in death by her parents George and Anna Tenzer, Croydon, PA; her sister Inge Tenzer, Ocala, FL; and her son Michael Greene, Granbury, TX.

 

She is survived by her son, Joseph Greene, Ocala, FL; by her former husband and friend through the years, Bernard Greene, Foley, AL; sister, Annelies Brown, Sebring, FL; brothers, Ernie Tenzer of Jackson, NJ, John Tenzer of Frisco, TX, and Werner Tenzer of Dothan, AL.  She is also survived by eight nephews, five nieces, and many grand-children and great grand-children.

 

A visitation will be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services Chapel, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, Florida on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 6-8 PM with a Funeral Mass to be held at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 6455 SW Highway 200, Ocala, FL on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 8:30 AM with Father Patrick J. O’Doherty presiding.  Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens 5050 SW 20th Street, Ocala  at 10:00 AM
